                            Crazy Nut!! 1.0
                           by Nathan Sheldon
========================================================================
  A patch for Roland JV-1080, JV-2080, XP-50, XP-60, and XP-80 synths.
========================================================================

Overview:

This is just a fun patch I made, not that high quality, just fun. It
resembles the sound of passing cars (to someone who is stationary). At
high key-on velocities (value of 90 or higher), the cars will be honking
at the person standing in the road. It's fun to just mess around with.
:-)

Requirements:

None (other than a JV or XP synth). No expansion boards required.

Control:

Use this:             To adjust this:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Modulation turn off the horn honking.
Pitch Bend adjust the speed of the cars (not the
                        horns) passing.

More Specifics:

Ahh, I don't feel like writing everything about this patch. :-) If you
are curious as to how I programmed it, just pick the patch appart. It's
easier to learn that way anyway, I think. The only thing I'd suggest
looking at of interest is how I got the sounds to pan from mid left to
mid right smoothly. I used both LFOs in each Tone with a triangle wave.
 The first LFO has an offset of -100, fades in on key on, and affects
panning by a value of +63. The second LFO has an offset of +100, fades
out on key on, and affects panning by a value of +26. This makes the
sound pan, fairly smoothly, from mid-left to mid-right.

Version History:

1.0  Initial release.
